Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 May 2026 · United Kingdom · We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR) as amended and with the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018 where personal data is processed using cookies and similar technologies.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, scripts, pixels, and SDKs. They may be first-party (set by us when you use vivovita.world) or third-party (set by another domain, for example when you view embedded content). The ICO’s overview is at Cookies and similar technologies (ICO).

2. Consent and strictly necessary use (PECR)

Under PECR, we must tell you about cookies and similar tech and, for anything that is not strictly necessary, obtain your consent before we use them (subject to the exceptions in regulation 6). Our banner gives Accept all, Reject (optional analytics and marketing off; necessary storage for consent remains), and Cookie settings with separate toggles so consent is granular and can be withdrawn without detriment to reading our general guides.

Strictly necessary technologies are those required to provide the service you explicitly request or to store / communicate consent. They do not require consent under regulation 6 of PECR, but we still explain them here for transparency.

3. How you can change your mind

You can clear choices by removing site data for this domain in your browser or using private browsing. Our tool stores preferences in localStorage under the key tdde_cookie_prefs_v1. For help, email clients@vivovita.world with “Cookie enquiry”. Withdrawing consent for optional categories stops those categories from being used from that point forward; it does not always erase historical server logs created earlier (see our Privacy Policy for retention).

4. Categories we use

Strictly necessary (no consent required under PECR)

Consent preference store: we use browser localStorage with the key tdde_cookie_prefs_v1 to remember your cookie choices (for example analytics on/off, marketing on/off) and to avoid showing the banner on every page once you have decided. This is first-party and is not used for ad targeting. UK GDPR lawful bases: Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests in running the website and recording consent, together with Article 6(1)(c) where we must demonstrate compliance with PECR / UK GDPR.

Analytics (optional — consent required)

If you enable this in the banner, we may use analytics tools to understand aggregate use (for example pages viewed, approximate region, referrals). We select privacy-oriented settings where available. Retention depends on the provider but is often on the order of months. UK GDPR lawful basis: Article 6(1)(a) consent. We may list specific tool names here when deployed.

Marketing (optional — consent required)

If you enable this, light marketing technologies may support tests such as newsletter sign-up flows or campaign measurement. We do not use solely automated decision-making with legal or similar effects. UK GDPR lawful basis: Article 6(1)(a) consent. You can turn this off at any time.

5. Third-party content (Google Maps)

Our Contact page may embed a Google Maps map supplied by Google. Loading or interacting with the map can cause Google to set or read cookies and to process data under Google’s terms and privacy policy (outside our control). If you prefer not to use the map, you can reach us using the address and phone number on that page. We keep this policy under review as ICO guidance and browser rules evolve.

6. Browser and device controls

You can block or delete cookies and site data via your browser settings (for example Edge, Safari, Firefox, Chrome). Blocking all storage may prevent your choices from being remembered and the banner may reappear. The ICO publishes general guidance at Cookies and other web browsing data.

7. Updates

When we add new non-essential technologies or partners, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for consent again before activating them. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
